Shift Role Descriptions

This page gives a description of the duties within each role at a shift. You are expected to comply with these descriptions at all times.

Kitchen Cook

Being assigned the role of a Kitchen Cook during a shift means you will be mostly based within the kitchen, but also allocates you the duties of grabbing prepared trays or raw food from the stock room, and cooking them to perfection with great preparation.

All foods will have different cooking processes to ensure you do not find the role repetitive. Once a food item has been prepared, you will then need to place this on the warming shelves ready for restockers to take them to the food counters when necessary.

Restocker

Taking up the role of Restocker means you are responsible for communicating with the cooks to ensure that any freshly prepared dishes on the warming shelves are taken to the hotplates as soon as necessary to ensure there are no prolonged food shortages, and customers are able to fill their plates.

You will also need to restock any items that are lacking quality of freshness, namely vegetables which are replaced often to ensure they are top quality. You will see tags above each food item that needs restocking, whether it be due to shortage or freshness. 
We use the freshest produce at Carvery UK and it is part of a Restockers task to ensure our available food is held to this standard.

Cleaner

When you are given the Cleaner role, it's not just about dusting corners of the Carvery, it is more than that. Cleaners are what ensure the restaurant is free from hazards for staff to carry out their roles safely, and keep Customers in a happy environment.
Being assigned this role allocates you the duties of cleaning spillages or mess from the floors, wiping down tables and cleaning frequently used appliances to ensure cleanliness at all times.

There will be tags above each mess that need cleaning, regardless of what type it is, and you should ensure you get this done quickly and efficiently.
