Attending a Shift

Shift Briefing and Roles

When a shift is being hosted, it will be announced within the game by a member of Management or above. You are expected to be present at the shift briefing, which is held in the staff room. During this briefing, you will receive your role for the shift and will be reminded of the expectations for all staff.

You are expected to work at your role for the duration of at least 20 minutes from the beginning of the shift, after which you may ask for permission from the Shift Host or Co-Host to change roles. This is to ensure roles do not become tedious and gives you the ability to learn and perform in different roles across the carvery.

Grammar Expectations

Management+ (Junior Manager and above) are required to use grammar within game, meaning regular staff do not need to. However, it is recommended (not enforced) as it may increase your likelihood of gaining a promotion.

Going AFK during a Shift (Away from Keyboard)

If you need to go AFK at any time during a shift, please make sure to alert the Shift Host or Co-Host. You are permitted to go AFK for a maximum of 10 minutes during each shift. 
If your AFK needs to be longer than 10 minutes, we ask that you leave the game to avoid holding a role without actually working. Please inform the Shift Host or Co-Host prior to leaving.
